Jonathan grew up in the small town of Bardstown, KY, not far from his current home in St. Matthews. After
graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1997 with a Bachelor of Art degree in English, Jonathan had
planned to enroll in law school, but took a detour and dove head first into the business world. His
entrepreneurial desire and skills were tested as the managing partner of what soon became a leading
national collegiate sportswear marketing company. Working daily with employees and customers from all
over the country, Jonathan developed business skills and customer service relations that continue to
provide the backbone of his business philosophy; follow ethical standards, always be honest with your
clients and do your best to live up to their expectations.
While he was building the company, a decision in 1999 ultimately led him to a profession in real estate.
Not long after graduating college he decided to partner with his dad to purchase and re-develop a lake
property located in Northeastern Indiana. This is where he found his true passion, working in real estate.
The property proved a challenge for two real estate novices, but after many “learn the hard way” moments,
the multi-phase property was successfully developed. Jonathan loved working in real estate and soon began
exploring the real estate profession as a career deciding to begin a career in commercial real estate appraising.
Since 2003, Jonathan has worked on single family homes and complex multi-million dollar commercial transactions.
