“Downtown Day” at Louisville Slugger Field!
WHEN: AUGUST 28, 2025
Join Louisville Downtown Partnership to cheer on the Bats as they take on the Columbus Clippers, and celebrate Louisville’s Downtown community. For each ticket purchased, $3 will be donated to LDP to help fund initiatives for public art, community events, tree & flower planting, and improved residential amenities throughout Downtown. Tickets are located in section 123 and will cost $12. Thrifty Thursday concession deals with $4 Hot Dogs, $2 Popcorn, and $2 Pepsi
Tyler Park Beer Garden
WHEN: AUGUST 29, 2025
The Olmsted Parks Beer Garden Series brings pop up events to various parks within the Olmsted Park System. These events are great opportunities to meet your neighbors and spend time in our beautiful urban green spaces. The Tyler Park Beer Garden is sponsored by Glenview Trust and features live music by Aaron Bibelhauser’s Bluegrass Evolution on the Tyler Park Stage! Enjoy beer from West Sixth Brewing and food from local food trucks. Admission is free. This family friendly event features lawn games and fun for all!
FILM: Beyond the Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness

Join the Coalition for the Homeless, Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Louisville Downtown Partnership, Metro United Way, and Metropolitan Housing Coalition for a special screening of this powerful film that sheds light on homelessness & the urgent need for permanent supportive housing, and provides a roadmap for cities to move toward a solution – stay for a panel discussion featuring the filmmakers working on how to create lasting change for our most vulnerable neighbors.
